Living Room Sofa and Chairs

I had searched for chairs for our living room for a while.  The saga begins while I was hunting for a sofa a few months back.  I had originally fallen for the Carlisle sofa and chairs from Pottery Barn, the combination of the price and the lead time on them prompted me reconsider.  A slightly more affordable option that offers similar custom upholstery choices is the Delphine collection though Wayfair.  While slightly shorter than Pottery Barn, there was still a 4-6 week lead time on the pieces.  I was ready to pull the trigger, until I found the perfect sofa for an unbeatable price at Art Van of all places.

Splurge/Steal

While I was thrilled to find the exact sofa that I wanted at savings of over $1,200.00 off my original sofa choice (not to mention next day delivery, versus an 8-10 week lead time) the bummer is that Art Van did not stock coordinating chairs. I toyed with the idea of ordering the chairs through Wayfair, but one chairs would cost more than what I paid for the my sofa!

I searched on, considering a few more options like these:

Chair Options

Links (clockwise) here, here, here, and here.

While all of these options are nice (can you see a trend with the linen, detailed feet, and tufting?) none of them where quite right.  The Wayfair option didn't have the bulk that was looking for.  I needed these chairs to occupy some real estate and anchor part of the living room.  I strongly considered the Target option, until I "kicked the tires" on them in store and found them not to be of the quality that I wanted as I plan to keep these chairs for years (I will say, they were decent quality for the price, however).  The tufted option with nailhead trim from Overstock I really liked,  and while the detailed feet are similar to the feet on the sofa, they are different colors and I knew that would bug me.  The final option through Overstock was near perfect, with the feet and arm detailing matching my sofa and they were a great price.  I was ready to deem these "the ones" until I read some reviews on them.  There were two trends from reviewers that bothered me enough to forgo purchasing them.  Several reviewers said they were surprised by the scale and size of the chairs; a few reviewers even called them child size chairs!  Finally, several reviewers complained of poor and/or inconsistent quality.

After a little more searching, I am pleased to say that I found exactly what I wanted with the Rose Roll Armchairs through One Kings Lane.  I got them for steal and scored free shipping as well.  The chairs are still in stock and you can grab them here if you like them.

Splurge/Steal #2

They match my sofa very well and have the similar look and feel as the more expensive versions from Wayfair and Pottery Barn.  The do not feel or look like $250 chairs, more like 4 times that price.  I was very impressed with the quality.  Also, as opposed to the other armchairs I considered, these are substantial and actually slightly oversized.  They are also very, very comfortable.

Now I just need to find a rug that fits this giant room (17x20!!!), a coffee table, side table, and console table.  This then this room is DONE!
